Privacy Policy

The following sets forth the policies for the collection and use of personally identifiable information (“Information”) by obama-care.org (“Company”) in connection with its operation of its Web site located at www.obama-care.org (the “Site”), and supersedes any previous statement of such policies. Company takes its obligations regarding privacy very seriously, and it wants to ensure users are fully informed about the Information they are providing to it.

Collection of Information.

In connection with the Site, Company may collect Information in the following ways:

  • Through forms filled out by a user on the Site.
  • Through Information provided by a user in connection with any services offered on the Site.
  • Through the maintenance and analysis of Web server logs.
  • Through surveys, polls, blogs and postings and submittals.
  • Via e-mail, telephone calls and other communications between a user and Company.

Company may also connect non-personally identifiable information from users via “cookies” (small text files placed by Company on user computers), single-pixel GIF image files, Web server log analysis and other similar technological means. Such information may be used to track site trends and enhance the user experience, and may be shared with third parties.

To the extent third parties may place advertising on the Site, such third parties may utilize cookies or other technological means within the advertising to collect and utilize non-personally identifiable information. Company is not responsible for information collected by third parties in this manner, nor for the collection or use of Information by other sites to which the Site is linked.

The following types of Information about a user are among those that may be collected by Company in connection with the Site:

No Collection of Information from Children.

The Site is not intended for users under the age of 18, nor does Company knowingly collect or retain Information in connection with the Site from children under the age of 13.

Use of Information.

Company may use Information collected in connection with the Site in the following ways:

  • Fulfill your order
  • Send you an order confirmation
  • Send product updates or warranty information
  • Respond to customer service requests
  • Administer your account
  • Send you a newsletter and offers
  • Send you marketing communications
  • Respond to your questions and concerns
  • Improve Company Web Site and marketing efforts

  • To provide requested information, products and services to users via the Site or through other online or offline channels
  • To enable users to enter prize promotions and receive prizes from Company and/or third parties

  • For users to obtain information and offers for products and services offered by Company as well as selected third parties.

In order to do the foregoing, Company may provide the Information to third parties, including but not limited to selected third party marketers and vendors as well as third party contractors providing services to Company such as the operation of the Site, communication services and fulfillment of orders, and information verification. Credit card information, such as card numbers and expiration dates, are collected only when purchases are made and are used only for purchase transactions. Company also utilizes electronic and physical security to reduce the risk of improper access to or manipulation of Information during transmission and storage, but cannot guarantee the security or integrity of the Information and shall have no liability for breaches of security or integrity or third-party interception in transit.

Company may also disclose Information to affiliated entities, when it determines it is necessary to comply with applicable laws or regulations, in connection with a merger, acquisition, asset purchase or sale of or by Company, or to protect the interests or safety of Company, its customers, or other visitors to the Site.

Vendors

Company may share your Information with various third party vendors that are not part or affiliated with us, including but not limited to vendors that provide us with technology to deploy commercial e-mail, vendors that sell the products or services for which you have qualified through the Site, and shipping companies that we utilize to ship products to you.

Advertisers

When you participate in an offer by completing a form, Company will transfer the Information you submitted on the form to the applicable advertiser. When you answer a survey question, or submit Information on the Site some or all of the Information that you submitted while using the Site will be transferred to advertisers that we believe may be of interest to you without providing you with another opportunity to review the Information.

Ad Serving Companies

Company may use third party ad networks or ad serving companies to serve advertisements on our Site(s). Company may share and pass Information about you to these companies so that they can deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of interest to you. The Information passed to these companies may include, but is not limited to, your IP address, e-mail address, name, mailing address, telephone number(s), date of birth, gender, and any other Information you provide to Company or Company obtains about you.

Third Party Marketing Partners

Company may share, license or sell your Information to third parties for various marketing purposes, including their online (e.g., e-mail marketing) and offline (e.g., telemarketing, cell phone text messaging, skip tracing, pre-recorded messages, automated attendant telemarketing, and direct mail) marketing programs.

Opting Out from Offers from Company.

At any time, a user may opt out from receiving future offers from Company, by following the instructions contained within each marketing communication. Such opting out will not apply to any communications from third parties to whom Company may have provided Information regarding the user. Third parties’ use of the Information is subject to such parties’ own privacy policies, for which Company shall not be responsible.
Anti-Spam Policy
Company has crafted a strong, zero-tolerance anti-spam policy to protect you. If you feel you have been sent spam, please email us at info@obama-care.org and Company will immediately take steps to solve the problem. Company holds the privacy of all users in the highest regard, as well as the recipients of emails sent by our advertisers.

We may or one of our third-party vendors, including Google, use Web Cookies to track the pages that you visit during each Site session, both to help us improve your experience and to help us understand how this Site is being used and to inform, optimize, and serve ads based on someone’s past visits to the Site and/or to report how ad impressions, other uses of ad services, and interactions with these ad impressions and ad services are related to your visit to the Site.

 

We advertise utilizing Google Analytics features (e.g., Remarketing, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, the DoubleClick Campaign Manager integration, or Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting).  Using the Ads Settings link (Google.com), users can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads.

 

The Federal CAN-SPAM Act
The Federal CAN-SPAM Act, put into law in 2003, dictates rules in sending commercial email. Company vigorously follow these rules and add a few more for added safety.
Your California Privacy Rights.

Beginning on January 1, 2005, California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits customers of Company who are California residents to request certain information regarding Company’s disclosure of personal information to third parties for such third parties’ direct marketing purposes. Changes to this Privacy Policy.

Company reserves the right to revise and update this Privacy Policy at any time. Any such revisions will be effective on the date of posting to the Site, and will apply to all information collected by Company both prior to and following the effective date. Your use of the Site following any such revisions will be deemed your acceptance of such revisions. Users should periodically visit this page to review the current policies with regard to Information.

II.      California Residents.
A.      Tracking.

How do you respond to Web browser “do not track” (“DNT”) signals or other mechanisms that provide consumers the ability to exercise choice regarding the collection of personally identifiable information about an individual consumer’s online activities over time and across third party websites or online services?

We do not monitor DNT signals or similar mechanisms.

May other parties collect personally identifiable information about an individual consumer’s online activities over time and across different websites when they visit the Site?

No.

B.      Privacy.

California residents who provide personal information in obtaining products or services for personal, family or household use are entitled to either:  (1) a list detailing the categories of information shared and the entities to which such information was provided; or (2) to be notified of a mechanism by which a consumer may opt-out of having their information shared with third parties.  We have elected the second option.  To opt-out of having your information shared with third parties, contact us at info@obama-care.org.
