This law was created to make things better and so it is trying to do just that.
Negatives of Obama Care
The biggest negative involving the Affordable Care Act is the fact that as of January 1, 2014 everyone will be required to purchase health care insurance. This is something that should be left up to each individual and not be made a requirement. Another negative is that if you do not purchase health care insurance you will be charged a penalty. This penalty can be as much as 1 % of your yearly income.
In addition there is a smoking surcharge that will go into effect in 2015. This surcharge will raise the cost of insurance 50%. Another negative about Obama Care is that no one really knows how all of this is going to be tracked. For example the IRS is supposed to charge the penalty to those that need it. However the IRS has stated publicly that they do not have access to that information. There are definitely some things that need to be fixed.
